Excelsior Works is located in the historic area of Castlefield, Manchester and looks to transform a derelict mill into 108 luxury apartments.
The site was previously a printing and book binding works and lies adjacent to the Bridgewater Canal.
The scheme will include one, two and three-bedroom apartments marketed for private sale. Some of the apartments will come with balconies and access to a communal roof garden. A basement car park will provide on-site parking.
The design looks to reinterpret the architectural history of the site and the old-fashioned printing trays in some of the ornamentation around the building entrances at roadside and canal edge.
The scheme provides a solution for the brownfield site which has been vacant since the building partially collapsed in July 2015 and had to be demolished.
